Brian Fikkert—When Helping Hurts
We know Jesus wants us to help people who are suffering in poverty. But the reality often feels complex and overwhelming.
Dr. Brian Fikkert and the organization he founded, The Chalmers Center, provide a redemptive framework and equip churches and Christian non-profit organizations to think about and respond to people living in poverty. His book, When Helping Hurts, outlines effective principles for how to help low-income people, moving beyond good intentions to lasting change.
