About the Event
Dinner Date Details: Plan for enough cooked/prepared food & drink for 20 people, half of whom are children. A more accurate number will be sent out the week before your serve date. Good nutrition is encouraged, so please bring vegetables and protein. Drinks can include water, juice boxes or milk. Volunteers are responsible for bringing paper plates, napkins, cups, forks, knives, spoons and serving utensils. Dessert is optional.
Volunteers should arrive at 5pm and be prepared to serve dinner by 5:15pm. Feel free to pray before dinner! The outdoor dinner lasts 30-45 minutes. We encourage you to eat with the SFC residents and make connections! It’s a joy to see children as young as five dishing out food. Younger children are welcome to play with the younger residents, too.
