Who is My Neighbor?

Are you curious about immigration? You’ll gain insight at this collaborative event with World Relief’s Matthew Soerens and local leaders.

A Conversation for the Curious

This event provides a space for honest conversation on a topic that greatly impacts our community. What does the bible say about immigration? How are Christians to respond to tough questions about the security of our country and the call to love the vulnerable? All perspectives are welcome, and we look forward to struggling with the tension of finding a path forward.

Even as questions of policy may remain unresolved, there are many opportunities to love and serve those who have arrived in our city. You’ll meet many of the local organizations working among refugees and asylum seekers on both sides of the border and find opportunities to get involved.

Keynote Speaker:

Matthew Soerens, World Relief, Author of Welcoming the Stranger

Breakout Sessions:

Security & Compassion: Ideas for Comprehensive Immigration Reform – AND Campaign

Legal Immigration: Who, What, When & How – Pathways to Citizenship

Global Migration Trends – World Relief

Love and Serve Locally – Hope for San Diego
