Urgent Donations for Asylum Seekers

April 21, 2019
Redeemer Presbyterian Church, South El Camino Real, Encinitas, CA, USA

Over the past several months, thousands of asylum-seekers have been released in San Diego after processing as legal immigrants. Their initial stop is the San Diego Rapid Response Network (SDRRN) shelter, which is accommodating about 300 people a day. Many of these are families fleeing violence and persecution in Central America and will remain in the United States awaiting their immigration hearings.

Hope for San Diego is collecting urgently-needed items to deliver to the SDRRN shelter. We will collect items each Sunday throughout April at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

We also need assistance to deliver the items and would greatly appreciate the help for each Monday in April. If you would like to help in this way or volunteer at the shelter, please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
