Dear Fundraiser Guests,
Next Sunday evening, Hope for San Diego will be serving the most vulnerable as usual, but this time, it will be by staying home. With new recommendations regarding public gatherings, we are responding to the latest directives from San Diego health officials. In the interest of loving our neighbors, including those with weakened immune systems, we will not gather for our fundraiser.
Because we can’t anticipate how public health guidance will change in the coming weeks, we will not immediately reschedule the event. However, our goal of raising $65,000 for our affiliate grants this spring remains in place. If you planned to make a donation to Hope for San Diego at the fundraiser, would you give now?
For those of you who purchased tickets to the event, we will send you a tax deductible receipt for the full price of your ticket purchase. If you prefer, we will refund your ticket price. You can email me directly at [email protected].
As we endure the inconveniences that come with this pandemic, please remember those whose very lives are at stake. Our goal of raising $65,000 at our fundraiser was to care for and invest in the most vulnerable in our community. That need has not gone away; rather, it is even more urgent. Our neighbors served by Hope for San Diego affiliates are exactly the people who will be most impacted by this virus and the economic consequences that ripple outward. Our neighbors need you more than ever before! Please consider a gift to make sure there’s no gap in services for those most in need. Watch our campaign progress here.
